After completing my vocal studies at the Academy of Music in Krakow, I continued my education at the Academy of Music “Carl Maria von Weber” in Dresden. Even while studying, I was invited to join the soloist ensemble of the Semper Opera Dresden - a dream come true and the beginning of an exciting chapter as an opera singer.
In the lyrical repertoire, I had the honor of singing under the baton of renowned conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, John Fiore, Marcello Viotti, and Giuseppe Sinopoli, and collaborating with distinguished directors like Harry Kupfer, Udo Samel, and Hans Hollmann. For me, as a young singer, it was an invaluable experience to share the stage with great opera stars, learn from them, and receive valuable artistic impulses.
Over time, not only did my voice grow, but so did my desire for the great operatic roles. After transitioning into the dramatic repertoire, a new artistic era began for me. My debut as Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco at the Altenburg-Gera Theatre laid the foundation for numerous engagements on prominent stages across Germany. This was followed by leading roles such as Tosca, Aida, as well as Leonore in Fidelio and La Forza del Destino. At the Polish National Opera in Warsaw and the Krakow Opera, I performed Verdi's Abigaille and Aida, as well as Puccini's Tosca, for many years.
On international concert stages - including the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Musikhalle in Hamburg, and the Berlin Philharmonie - I expanded my repertoire to include Wagner's Isolde and Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung. Under the direction of prominent conductors and in collaboration with outstanding choirs, I interpreted works such as Verdi's Requiem, Bruckner's Mass in F minor, Bizet's Te Deum, Rossini's Stabat Mater, and Dvořák's Stabat Mater. A particular highlight was my performance of songs by Rudolf Mauersberger at the Dresden Zwinger, which was broadcast live on MDR.
For over 25 years, I have passionately dedicated myself to the training of young singers - initially alongside my own performance career, and later with full commitment to this fulfilling task. In 2013, I made the decision, with deep inner peace, to end my active career as an opera singer in order to fully pass on my knowledge and experience to the next generation. In addition to individual lessons, I organize workshops at my vocal studio as well as the now well-established summer masterclasses in Meißen and winter courses on the island of Spiekeroog. These intensive and inspiring programs have become fixed institutions, where singers not only refine their technique and expressiveness, but also find a protected space for artistic growth and personal development.
